This 3-tier Göpel pyramid with Mettenschicht is a special piece. The Mettenschicht is an old mining tradition, referring to the last shift before Christmas. Each level presents a different scene from this historical era. At the top, there is a "Bergglöckl" that emits a gentle sound as the pyramid turns. The Göpel pyramid is operated with wax candles, and when combined with the base (085/095U), it can also be powered electrically. In this case, wax candles can still be used (and lit) or Lumix can be used. The subtle colors enhance the appearance of the figures.
