This charming music box features a bridal couple and plays the famous "Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin by Richard Wagner. When you turn the crank, a wire and quills inside the box produce a delightful tinkling sound. This music box is a predecessor of the modern music box and has its origins in Seiffen around 1800. Over time, mechanical movements replaced the tinkling, marking the birth of music boxes in the Erzgebirge region. Today, they are still crafted with a variety of wind-up mechanisms.
